Ancient Aliens on the Moon - Moon Sphinx

One of my big inspirations are the old classic space illustrations of the 50s and early 60s. Astronautical themes, moon vistas, round space-stations, etc. I always wanted to try that old school watercolor style of the traditional illustrators of those times but never got around to do it.
So... as I´m still experimenting all sorts of pics using Clip Studio Paint running on a Surface Pro 6 this one came into my mind as I´ve been watching a lot of old science fiction lately; in particularly the movies of the amazing Russian director from the 50s , Pavel Klushantev like "Road to the Stars" or "Planeta Bur". This s another pic I did to relax at the end of the day between my children book commissions.
