Dangerous Dunes

So what do you do when you wait for the new Dune movie adaptation? You read the original novels once again, watch Lynch´s movie for the 1000th time, rewatch the cool 2000s miniseries, Frank Herbert´s Dune and Children of Dune, listen to the original Toto Dune soundtrack, and paint sandworms and desert scenes until 4am on Ipad Pro using ProCreate because that´s what you do. And good luck trying to create a sandworm that does not look like a dick too. 🙂
My idea was also to try to paint in a similar style to Sam Weber which in the 60s defined the visual style for all the paintings about Dune world to a point that even Lynch´s movie could not escape the look of it. Procreate on IpadPro has some really good pastel tools that help to recreate the look so I guess I will be doing a few more Dune pics.
